Nicolas Dangy-Caye has released an Audio Unit version of Tune It!, which is now freeware for Windows (VST). Tune It! is a piece of software that helps musicians to tune their instruments. It can also be used to monitor the pitch during live performance. It is based on an original and very accurate pitch detection algorithm. It can tune a wide range of instruments such as guitar, bass, piano, flute, violin, saxophone, etc. It can be ran as a standalone application or as a plugin within a VST or AU host.

Minion - Funky filter

Minion - Funky filter FX from Devine Machine. Devine Machine are pleased to announce that Minion, a free VST effect plug-in for both PC and Mac OS X, is now available. When you just have to have four filters being modulated by a total of twelve LFOs, you need Minion! It's got balls, you see. Four of them, pinging and swinging their way around an innovative XYZ pad that's used to control the plug-in and to give visual feedback. And for each ball, there's an effect module, and each of those can produce one of a variety of filter effects, including several filter/distortion combinations. Minion also comes with numerous presets that demonstrate the range of audio warping possible. And did we mention that it's free? Sonic Transformer v.1.0  

Complex multi-effect processor with pure alien style! With its original 5 "alien eyes" knobs, you can control several parameters simultaneously (or a percentage of an effect parameter)! The "hybrid" knob controls the dry/wet mix. The use of this plugin is completely enigmatic and chaotic but allows you to get effects from reverb to powerful filters, from chorus to delays,... There´s 7 presets (fxp format) available but, soon, you´ll realize that, by only altering one knob, the sound changes a lot. This feature allows you to transform radically the sound! This is a really different plugin! Sonic Transformer is available for Windows as a VST effect plug-in and it is free.

bucketEER, reverb&delay fx 

Inspired by early bucket brigade machines, bucketEER is a simple stereo reverb effect consisting of 16 delay lines, each with an all-pass filter. Mono or stereo input, with 3 output modes, bucketEER can be used for delay effects and basic reverbs. Sounds suprisingly good considering how simple it is :)

bucketEER is a beta, and is by no means perfect and I've got some module writing to do before its how I eventually want it. At the moment, when changing from one preset to another, the buffers may get stuck for a few seconds resulting in a glitchy effect. this may or may not be a bad thing, and may or may not happen depending on your host. So far, its not stuttered using cubase sx 2.2, but has in fruityloops and cantabile ... let me know ... ha, and it may take a little while to load ... as for cpu, it takes about the same as a single roomworks instance for example (Athlon XP2200+ 1gig ram).
